Designed from drawings by Charlotte Biltgen, this screen brings together decorative language, material and light. For this creation, Paelis interprets the designer’s line through straw marquetry and gives it a new amplitude through the very undulation of the pattern.

Drawing becomes material in motion
The gradient, from light grey to deep black, unfolds with subtlety and captures the light from every angle. The surface comes alive through the gaze, revealing in each variation the expressive richness of straw.
A luminous presence between straw and brass
Combined with the reflections of the brass shaped by Atelier Yszé, the glints of straw give the whole piece an almost vibrating intensity. This work reveals what Paelis seeks in each collaboration, translating a strong aesthetic intention into a surface that is sensitive, precise and fully inhabited by material.
