The meeting between Thierry Martenon and Manon Bouvier Toth is rooted in a story of transmission. Their paths first crossed when Manon was looking toward the world of fine craftsmanship. A few years later, when she asked him to become the mentor of her atelier, the idea of creating a piece together emerged naturally.

This sculpture marks the beginning of their collaboration. It brings together the materials, tools and gestures of two creators whose craftsmanship responds to one another with precision. Through it, the dialogue between materials also becomes a dialogue between two perspectives and two exacting visions.
Wood and straw reveal each other here
Wood reveals the light of straw just as straw enhances the depth of wood. The materials complement one another, their languages find balance, and together they give rise to a singular work where precision of gesture meets strength of presence.
